WHAT IS CBD?

CBD is a naturally occurring component in the hemp plant. It is a non-intoxicating photocannabinoid that offers many whole-body uses. CBD is only one of dozens of photocannabinoids found in the hemp plant.

WHAT IS CBD OIL?

CBD oil is derived from hemp plants that have high levels of cannabidiol (CBD) and low levels of THC. CBD oils are legally required to have less than .3% THC.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HEMP AND MARIJUANA?

CBD and THC are both cannabinoids found in marijuana. Though similar in what they may help treat, the most important difference is that THC will cause a person to experience a high while CBD will not.

IS CBD LEGAL?

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp and hemp-derived products are legal to produce, sell and consume throughout all 50 states. These products must be derived from industrial hemp containing less than 0.3 percent THC.

WILL I FAIL A DRUG TEST IF I USE CBD PRODUCTS?

While hemp-based CBD products are manufactured from hemp plants containing less than 0.3% THC, there are still trace amounts. There is a small possibility that consuming CBD may lead to a positive drug test for THC, as it does with any product made from hemp. If this is a significant concern, we advise speaking with your employer or doctor before use.

WILL I GET HIGH?

Because CBD is a non-intoxicating component from industrial hemp, which legally must have less than 0.3 percent of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), there’s no “high”, euphoric or hallucinogenic effect as a result of using hemp-derived CBD.

HOW MUCH SCHOULD I TAKE?

Because each person’s body structure is unique, it is difficult to set a predetermined measurement that is right for everyone. Most experts agree that if it’s your first time using CBD, starting with the lowest dose and gradually working your way up is the best way to go.

HOW DO I STORE CBD PRODUCTS AND DO THEY EXPIRE?

Store products in a dry, cool area with no direct exposure to constant light or excessive heat. Many CBD products will have an expiration date listed on the product packaging.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO FEEL THE EFFECTS?

Properties of CBD will vary for each individual depending on height, weight, and the quantity of CBD taken. Because there are no intoxicating ingredients with CBD oil, there is no “high” effect; start with small amounts and gradually increase with each use until reaching desired results.

CAN IT HELP SEIZURES?

The FDA has approved only one CBD-based drug, and it’s used to treat two rare types of epilepsy -- Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and Dravet syndrome -- as well as seizures caused by tuberous sclerosis complex. It’s called Epidiolex, and it’s approved for adults and kids over age 1. There are however many individual testimonials speaking to the efficacy of CBD products used to help epilepsy.

DOES IT EASE PAIN?

Scientists are working to see if it might help with arthritis, and some people with HIV say it helps relieve nerve pain (also called neuropathy). There’s some evidence that it may help muscle spasms linked to multiple sclerosis, too. Thousands of testimonials across the U.S. indicate that many CBD consumers utilize CBD specifically for pain. Additionally, there are a number of studies along with emerging research that indicate it does.
